the short version What sets it apart

A twenty-acre private river valley north of Truckee — one wedding at a time, water audible from the aisle.

  • One of the only riverside wedding venues in the Tahoe area — the Little Truckee runs through the property.
  • Twenty private acres: no resort traffic, no second wedding, no audience.
  • All-inclusive packages compress the vendor list for out-of-town couples.
  • A published summer date calendar (June–September) makes availability checking instant.

Dancing Pines occupies a twenty-acre spread on the banks of the Little Truckee River in the high valley north of Truckee — by its own description one of the only riverside wedding venues in Tahoe. The format is single-event privacy: ceremony and reception unfold across the property's meadows and riverbank with no other bookings and no resort backdrop, and elopement packages cover the smallest versions of the day (Saturdays excluded).

The venue runs a tight summer season — its published 2027 calendar spans June 19 to September 18 — with all-inclusive pricing and a downloadable wedding menu standing in for the usual vendor scavenger hunt. Site tours are by appointment, and the venue publishes no street address; the river valley setting is part of the seclusion.
