Good to Know

One driver decision fixes everything

Tahoe's best bach days chain a beach, a boat, and a bar — all drives apart. Decide up front who's driving (or book the charter and the ride-shares first) and build the day around that; the state line means DUI laws in two states, neither forgiving.

Altitude is part of the itinerary

The lake sits at 6,225 feet and the drinks hit harder here — especially day one. The crews that have the best weekend alternate: beach morning, boat afternoon, long dinner, then the casino. Schedule the spa for day two, not a 9 a.m. hike.
